A very useful and well researched resource... Contains a variety of activities which can be easily translated into the classroom and will save time for the teacher... A particular strength of this resource is the use of model answers linked to key assessment objectives - these allow students to reflect and peers assess... The inclusion of critical quotations and the activities on how to respond allow students to develop their own personal interpretation and consequently meet Assessment Objective 5... Overall, it was a pleasure to review this resource - it contains some excellent ideas for teaching and communicates increasingly complex ideas in an accessible way.
An incredibly thorough and comprehensive resource that gives a complete walk-through of the text. I could easily imagine giving this to a class or an individual - they could, in effect, go through the activities and teach themselves the text, with guidance to support them as appropriate... There was a strong focus on AO5 (different perspectives) and also the author's context and other works (AO3)... The activities were thoughtfully organised... The author's interest and passion in the text clearly shines forth from this Activity Pack. This is a resource that communicates tangible enthusiasm and interest! I would definitely recommend this!
