What information do we collect about customers?
We collect data such as the information you give us when you register with us or place an order for our products (by completing a form on our website or sending us your details via fax, post, email or over the telephone). We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions.

We collect data such as the information you give us when you register with us, submit reviews, send samples and resources for publication, complete surveys and information for marketing purposes.
What information do we collect about job applicants?
We keep the information you give us such as letters of application, CVs, emails and verbal information over the phone or in interviews. Only those involved in the vetting or interview process will have access to this information. If you are subsequently employed we keep some or all of this information for the duration of your employment. If not, it is kept for a period of time in case of any queries and then we periodically destroy any such information that is more than 6 months old, unless we have specifically agreed with you otherwise.
What information do we collect about eRevision users?
The eRevision system records information entered by teachers such as pupil names, emails and groups as well as teacher contact information. It also logs pupils’ scores in tests for the purpose of progress tracking and assessment. The information is not generally accessible by ZigZag employees unless for the purposes of administration or programming. It is therefore the school’s responsibility to remove old pupils and their data.
We have technical, software, physical and administrative systems and procedures in place to protect your information. We make our best efforts to keep your personal information private, and if we are knowingly subject to a data breach then we will contact those affected as soon as possible to notify you, as well as taking appropriate action.
How will we use the information about you?
We respect your privacy. If you are a customer we will only collect information about you to process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other products we think may be of interest to you and keep you up to date about publications you have previously bought from us.
If you are an author or reviewer we will only collect information about you to manage your account, process royalty or outright payments and, if you agree, to email you about reviewing new resources we think may be of interest to you and keep you up to date about new writing opportunities as well as other emails specifically regarding publishing with us.
If you are a job applicant, your details will be used in order for us to process your application.
ZigZag Education will not share your information with third parties except in the case of normal business such as postal carriers or printing services.
For customers, if you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date. We will only use email marketing when individuals and organisations opt in to receive it, and we include an opt-out link at the bottom of all subsequent emails.
