Upon publication in 1847, Jane Eyre stirred a storm of controversy, drawing severe criticism and wholehearted praise in almost equal measure. Brontë’s imaginative ideas and masterful means of appealing to the romantic and the rebellious in us, ensure it lives on today.
While setting out to stimulate and entertain the student, this activity pack also aims to jolly students out of their modern-day preconceptions. Activities cover the whole text in abundance, for you to mix and match to suit your class.

What do teachers say about this resource? (8472)
This resource was excellent, and certainly offers very good value for money for the institutions which purchase it. There are very few things which I would change, as I feel that it is almost perfect exactly as it is... I thought the resource flowed very well, and that it would be very clear to teachers and students alike how the author had structured it in order to enhance their work on Jane Eyre. I liked the fact that there is a general introduction to the life and times of the Brontes and then an exploration of the book chapter by chapter and in great detail. As you can tell, I’m really a fan of this resource, so congratulations are due to the author! I think the range of activities is excellent - there is a good variety of individual, pair and group tasks, and the guidance given to teachers regarding how to use the resource is really very helpful indeed... Most impressive.
