What do teachers say about this resource? (7039)
A clear, well-presented and systematic run-through of the play which would help pupils in supporting their own knowledge and understanding of the play as they are taught it in the classroom. It is also a simple, but detailed, exposition of the play for teachers... I liked the series of questions following each scene that took different forms: debate prompts, extended essay questions, etc. This would be very useful as a teacher for homework ideas or for pupils to have extension tasks... This is a perfect example of a ZigZag resource: it is an excellent support for learners who are being taught the text in the classroom... There is a good focus on the different AOs... An excellent aid to teaching!
I would praise the careful balance between academic style and accessibility for the post-16 learner. Information was clearly presented and there was a good balance between breadth and depth of coverage in the textual analysis... The presentation of information would support all learners in their reading of this 'problem' play. For more able learners, a wide range of socio-historical contexts are referenced and could provide a springboard for independent learning... A well-written and comprehensive learning resource.
