I think this is a fantastic resource, fully comprehensive, easy to use but still thorough, and it will save me (and many other teachers) a great deal of time.
This resource is incredibly useful for staff starting out teaching the poetry anthology section of the new AQA English Literature specification... The educational value of this resource is immense. It breaks down the key features of each poem and the relevant terminology for the examination criteria... The presentation of the resource is excellent.
A useful resource... especially beneficial to new teachers and teachers who are not as confident with poetry... There are sample answers provided, which will give students a framework to use when writing their own responses. The commentaries provided will also be beneficial to students and staff during the early stages of this specification... I particularly like the overview maps and the ‘make the link’ sections as these will help many students that struggle with poetry.
Overall, I was very impressed with the content of this pack: there is a great deal of useful and useable material. I particularly liked the depth of detail about each of the poems, the suggested answers, the inclusion of suggested pairings and the sample answers... The resource matches the new specification really well and is closely focused on the material that AQA has released so far.
