Wonderful resource. Extremely comprehensive and mindful of learning styles... Having taught Frankenstein, I can say that it is difficult due to the language and time period. This resource does a wonderful job of breaking down the language simply, allowing students to engage with basic starters that challenge their vocabulary, while at the same time allowing them to complete tasks that challenge their analytical skill. I would absolutely purchase this resource.

The main points which I liked about the resource are, firstly, the level of detail which has been included with all the activities. This was extremely interesting to read and well designed; for example, the 'mask' and 'board game' activities. These could prove to be very exciting and interesting for learners to attempt, particularly towards the end of term. A really useful and creative resource. Carefully mapped to fit the assessment objectives... The range of tasks is diverse, and there is something for all types of learners... The tasks are engaging for all learners and support the close reading of the text. Tasks are easily adapted to homework / independent learning.
I really like this activity pack. It contains many exciting approaches to learning as well as teaching, and a resource like this would be invaluable to any English department teaching Frankenstein for the first time. Teachers could happily take inspiration from this activity pack when setting down their schemes of work as the resource is deeply informative without ‘spoon-feeding’ students everything they need to know about the text. The range of tasks is creative, bold and innovative – just the way I like to teach!
