What do teachers say about this resource? (4581)

I loved this resource! Tasks are differentiated so that both Foundation and Higher tier students could access it, as well as having a wide variety of activities that would really appeal to all students. The tasks are interesting and clearly focused on the Assessment Objectives. I found the Assessment Objective table at the front which outlines the individual activities that support them very useful, as you can clearly see which tasks would be appropriate to your students depending on whether they are sitting the English Literature exam or completing a controlled assessment... This is an excellent resource which is very easy to take straight into the classroom. B Kemp, Faculty Leader, Independent Reviewer

An excellent resource that encompasses a lot of different types of task that take the student progressively from simple tasks to more difficult tasks with ease... I particularly liked the different types of activities and ideas for interactive activities if a whiteboard is present. I loved the idea of students creating their own music to represent emotions! An excellent companion to the specification guidelines. This is a new book on a new specification and resources like this one are highly sought-after. I thought this resource was incredibly comprehensive – covering a huge range of ideas, tasks and discussion points... I particularly liked the focus on the PEE technique throughout the resource. Also, the emphasis on understanding language techniques. The resource has many different tasks and activities... I liked the tasks where students had to make it relevant to modern life or their own experience... All possible aspects for character and thematic analysis are covered – as well as a close examination of language. Focus at the end on examination questions – extract and essay style match the spec very well. H Light, English Teacher and Ind. Reviewer
