The best resource of this kind that I have seen
What do teachers say about this resource? (3156)
It is a very good resource and the only study guide available on this play. I particularly liked the wealth of material on context as it fits the WJEC Assessment Objectives for LT1 perfectly. It addresses analysis of language, form and structure as well. The wealth of detail in the analysis section will be an enormous help to AS students. This is the best resource of this kind that I have seen.
I was very impressed... A well thought out resource with very detailed section analysis of the text... Information was accessible and broke down the play in a helpful way. I thought the cultural / contextual information would be particularly helpful to students. The clear links made to exam board requirements were also very good... [It] enables students to have confidence in their understanding of the text and its context... It provides a very strong foundation on which they should be building their own, independent analyses.
A very detailed and comprehensive resource which offers a full exploration of various appropriate contexts as well as a thorough analysis of the text. I particularly liked features such as the glossary as, in my experience, students have little awareness of the music etc referred to in the play.
Good, thorough coverage – very useful for contextual emphasis in WJEC Literature specification. I particularly like this resource because of its breadth of coverage: discussion of related texts, the film adaptation etc. Also useful inclusion of sample questions for WJEC Literature.
