What do teachers say about this resource? (2202)
Wow! I just hit lucky here... It's wonderful, really good quality stuff.
Clear structure, interesting activities, super graphics.
This resource is superb. The resource cleverly instructs pupils to use a variety of strategies to understand the text, often at a fairly sophisticated level.
The author of this resource has clearly spent much time thinking of engaging activities based upon this novel. It was a pleasure to read and review such a well made, thorough resource.
These are the best resources I have seen from ZgZag... Time saving and thorough.
The resource is very good. Having reviewed ones by this author before, I would say that it is very much of the same quality that I have come to expect. The worksheets are clear and engaging, and they take students through the book clearly and helpfully, including some useful extension.
This is an excellent resource, giving a broad understanding of the novel and the writer’s techniques and purpose.
Because there are many different kinds to task, it will appeal to learners of all types.
I really enjoyed reviewing this resource. I can imagine pupils completing some of these tasks without even thinking of them as "work" at all!'
It is pupil friendly and accessible to a range of abilities.
It is better than other resources because the activities appeal to students. It cuts down on work for preparation; highlights relevant issues and helps to build skills.
The Resource would enhance pupils` learning by providing activities which will enable them to appreciate some of the themes of the novel and some of the ways the author has used various techniques and kinds of language to communicate with readers. The explicit links made between activities and specific AFs will allow teachers to clearly identify the focus of individual lessons. In addition, there is sufficient material in the Pack to extend the learning of the more able, including differentiated questions/tasks and stimulating research work. Overall, a very helpful resource, which would certainly assist the teacher.
This is a useful and dynamic resource. It will assist teachers of whatever experience in accessing the book and supporting them as they explore it with a class. Skellig is a rich novel and the material ensures that teachers delivering their scheme of work will have support through this range of imaginative suggested activities whilst being able to keep an eye on the Framework and the KS3 assessment focuses.
The great value of this resource is that it guides real English teachers through real English and it is aimed at real pupils... Of great worth anywhere in a KS3 English programme.
Presentation is warm and well illustrated. The pages have been made easy to photocopy for class use and this is always a great advantage.
A lovely scheme of work. Reading skills in particular are addressed. This is really successful. Promotes pupils to use quotations effectively. It also encourages pupils to think about writer's technique and use of terminology.
I was impressed by the professional way in which the subject matter was presented. The resource was presented in a very easy to follow and cohesive way, which allowed easy access and reference from the teacher.
I thought it was very good: professionally presented, good layout... Clearly written and nicely differentiated - most students should find the worksheets accessible.
