What do teachers say about this resource? (1780)
Gave an effective walkthrough of the text, with a range of different activities... I really appreciated the emphasis placed on helping pupils to make sense of the text. The frequent vocabulary grids along with resources to help pupils summarise and follow the flow of Milton's verse were simple and excellent resources. I also thought that the resource broke the text down into manageable chunks, and the activities were aimed very well at helping pupils to work through each section in turn... This resource enhances learning through the structure that it gives to pupils. Its educational value lies primarily in the way in which it gives teachers a range of different approaches to help pupils connect what can seem to be an abstruse and inaccessible text with modern-day events and real-life circumstances that they can relate to and have an opinion on.
A useful resource for students to have in order to independently study the text, or for teachers to have alongside when planning lessons... The summaries were clear and succinct with apt embedded quotations, and the questions for each section are particularly good for mid–low-range students... Enables students to independently access and understand a complex text.
