What do teachers say about this resource? (12211)
A very well-structured and comprehensive resource that would give a teacher all the tools they needed to plan, prepare and teach a unit on Rossetti's poetry. I loved the in-depth nature of the information on Rossetti and her work. I thought the resource contained a good, well-balanced range of activities that could easily be used and adapted by a teacher. I particularly liked the links that were made between Rossetti's poetry and more modern works of poetry by poets such as Frost and Duffy... The resource contains an excellent level of detail from Rossetti's wider writings such as her letters and her devotional texts. These are helpfully positioned alongside thorough and detailed activities on each poem to allow pupils to embed this wider contextual information into their understanding of her work... A very comprehensive resource which would provide excellent help and support both to pupils and to teachers. I personally learnt a few new facts about Rossetti and her work after having taught and studied her poetry for a number of years!
