What do teachers say about this resource? (9679)
I really liked this resource. I feel it approaches the poetry of Heine very knowledgeably and thoroughly. I think it is a great preparation for teaching this set text.
I absolutely loved the Before section. Some of my favourite Heine poems are mentioned, in particular,, die schlesische Weber” and ,,die Lorelei” and I thought they were extremely well done. I also liked the fact that almost every piece of text had an exercise of some description accompanying it in the style of one of the examination questions from the reading paper. I thought this was very clever. The translations exercises are also very useful practice.
The exam style questions prepare the students very well for both the essay paper and for the reading paper. The background section is also useful, as being able to supply background information in the essay questions is very beneficial to student knowledge and when used properly can lead to high marks in the essay.
