What do teachers say about this resource? (9619)

An extremely valuable resource that many teachers will use to elevate their teaching and save time in their planning... I liked the level of detail in the analysis of the poems. I think this was really helpful and is definitely lacking for this specification currently. Lots of teachers are still new to these poems when asked to teach this specification and this will give them a grounding and confidence going forward.

C Nicoll, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

Excellent resource - covers each poem in depth with the specification very much in mind. It would be extremely useful for somebody new to teaching A level Lang / Lit as it has clear explanations of terminology. Also the teacher can choose the level at which to pitch the analysis - not all of the terminology is essential, but if the teacher wants to stretch and challenge the class, they could select the higher level terminology. Nicely laid out and easy to navigate. The questions for each poem are well considered and there is a mixture of tasks - group or individual. It would save an enormous amount of time - I spent a long time researching each of the poems and apart from the GCSE poems such as My Last Duchess, they were difficult to find information about. Also it would save time on planning lessons as there are activities ready to teach.

R Smart, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

A very good resource with lots of ideas for teaching the poems and for developing use of linguistic and literary analysis... I particularly like how each poem centres on the A level question foci (voice, setting, relationships etc.) and think the comprehension questions provide lots of ideas for revision... Provides a thorough exploration of each poem.
