What do teachers say about this resource? (9270)
This is the learning grid that I believe has had the most impact – a difficult topic boiled down to its core elements. I am very happy with this resource! It has helped to bring together a difficult topic for students to grasp. The questions really focus their minds on the key areas of the course... They can pinpoint their areas of weakness and we can focus on these areas in more detail... They can be implemented as part of a wider scheme of work to quickly test knowledge retention as we go through the course... brilliant either as stand-alone or integrated tests for students – well worth the money!

Superb – this is extremely well written and the learning grids provide a fantastic opportunity for students to openly test their knowledge against the questions... The questions are probing whilst at the same time provide good confidence boosts for students who sometimes struggle with specific aspects of the course... They will be using aspects at home for independent revision and more for focussed revision on weak areas in class... Its versatility is its biggest strength – it allows the teacher to use them virtually any way they want to – really strong in terms of other resources... Purchase in order to get the maximum number of opportunities for students to achieve strong grades. They complement other revision resources very well... [matches Edexcel] perfectly!

Electoral systems are always difficult for the students to grasp as there is now more of an emphasis on the comparisons between them and subsequently, they need to compare two very different systems in order to show a fuller comparison. The Learning Grids are a superb way of being able to show this in a clear and simple format and it is a wonderful addition to this collection of resources... The answers are excellent and extremely well put together so that there is no ambiguity regarding what the answer should be... The depth of questioning is strong and students aren't just 'answering questions' - they need to think before they answer... Nothing to dislike! Because the students can bear down on what topics they find hard, this resource is extremely valuable. It allows the students to work on the areas where the most development is needed in order to progress forwards... my students absolutely love them as a resource... Nothing is left to chance by ZigZag and as always, the resources are very carefully and professionally produced.

The Learning Grids produced are a good way to get students to work independently and test their knowledge of the Constitution. The key content is covered, and it shows a good breadth of information... The answers document is comprehensive and allows the students to ensure that they have the correct knowledgeand can also lend itself to independent learning – students could create their own resources from these questions themselves

Excellent – I had never really thought about using such a resource before but I am now very much interested in making these a more integrated part of the course. They link to other resources showing the whole network of places that students can use to consolidate knowledge. They will be using this in the lead up to their study leave so this will be invaluable for last-minute knowledge revision. Its simplicity means it is wonderfully versatile . You can use this in so many ways which means you are getting more than just the one resource. Brilliant for independent and group activities – versatile and very good value for money.

The consistency of the Learning Grids means that students are not jumping from one type of task to another - it is systematic and structured which is what students want - it is certainly what my students like... These can be used in a variety of ways meaning the students can utilise this in the way that suits them. The usefulness of the Political Party Learning Grids are that students can break down a difficult topic into simpler chunks to facilitate their learning and understanding... There is absolutely no doubt that it meets the specification... I would have no hesitation in leaving this as a cover task or even as a silent starter/plenary without needing to quickly check over all the information.

Very good resource which shows an excellent variety of tasks and content throughout. They are an excellent addition to a variety of very good resources for the New Specification which leave students in a strong position to do well in their exams and to help consolidate their learning and their knowledge... an extremely detailed and thorough resource... I am very impressed by the excellent coverage of topics - superb varied knowledge tasks... I very much like the specific focus on the various improvements to universal suffrage - students are expected to know why these occurred and the impact this had... The answers are always informative and well written... Due to the variety of ways this can be used (starter task, revision cards, knowledge tests, consolidation tasks, essay planning) this resource becomes extremely valuable and extremely vital to the learning and understanding of the students. These will become an important staple of my Politics planning next year as they are ready-made resources for use in and out of the classroom.
