What do teachers say about this resource? (6925)

It's invaluable! I can use it to create assessments for my students that test them as they would be tested in the real examination. With hardly any other resources available for the new specification, this resource (along with the listening practice) has really helped me this year.

Well done, this is an absolutely fantastic resource, very useful. I like the topics, the content, the structure of the activities, the use of synonyms and focus on interesting idioms, the use of false friends in context, the range of texts, the fact it uses literary texts too.

R Bravo, Teacher and Peer Reviewer

I liked the resource as the articles are fresh and up-to-date

Very helpful to have such a thorough pack to practice each aspect of the reading exam.

I particularly like this resource because the question format is exactly as in the exam. The wide variety of texts from such a range of sources provides a much needed break from the textbook.

It helps familiarise them with the exam. Clear mark scheme makes teacher’s life easier!

Will save hours of preparation. Could also be used in class.

Excellent match with Edexcel.

It's invaluable! Do not hesitate to buy the reading exam practice and the listening exam practice. I will certainly be snapping up the Year 2 versions when they become available.

Well done, a very well structured and put together resource!!! The tasks are typical of exams in terms of format so students know what to expect and can build on their skills. I really like how the resource incorporates specific vocabulary and some nice idioms (estan por las nubes). I find it incredibly useful that there is room for both peer and self assessment.

Very helpful to systematically practice listening in the format of the exam from the beginning of the course. Can be used in class or independently for homework.

The placing of transcript into the answers encourages students to learn from their mistakes.

It is very easy to integrate into a scheme of work. Can be used in class and at home, during the course or as revision.

D Marks, Tutor

It is a very good resource as it allows additional practice on the themes studied during the AS. I can see that the author has based the activities on specimen material released by the examination board.

Excellent resource to support both teaching and independent learning.

I liked the range of interesting texts of direct relevance to the specification. The different levels of questions on the same text provide much needed differentiation at this level.

It prepares them for the exact type of question technique used in the exam whilst providing genuinely interesting texts.

It encourages students to do the tasks that are genuinely interesting and in many cases could lead to a wide variety of further activities.

It could be used both in class and at home where student could independently monitor their own progress.

D Marks, Tutor and Customer

Overall I think that it is a great resource as it provides lots of opportunity to improve students´confidence in answering reading comprehension questions for their A level Spanish exams. In addition, the resource will boost students Spanish language acquisition and comprehension skills through the use of lots of motivating, relevant and engaging exercises. The resource also gives students plenty of chances to practice their grammar and their vocabulary for Spanish A level as well as increasing their cultural knowledge of Spanish speaking countries.

What do teachers say about this resource? (8554)

Provides much needed systematic listening practice, using the question format in the exam.

It enables students to do independent listening work and to monitor their own progress. The provision of transcripts with the answers helps them to assess their own leaning and to take responsibility for learning from their own mistakes.

It allows them to listen independently, a skill which is very difficult to teach in class.

It is unique in providing relevant listening practice exactly tailored to the exam specification.

It provides much needed reassurance that the student can be well prepared for the listening par of the exam.

A comprehensive resource that matches the A Level listening paper. Perfect for revision or to use when putting together internal assessments. It is worth the money – it will save you time and ensure that you are providing your students with authentic exam practice.
