What do teachers say about this resource? (7653)
It is excellent with superb summaries of the material that are insightful and do not patronise the students. Then there are some superb interactive exercises and quizzes after each topic... It made me think about Thatcher, Major and Blair differently, so it will stimulate the students... It can be hard choosing the best materials but it is easy to choose this as it is obviously so good... It has an intellectual quality to it that makes it superior to many published textbooks and this facilitates university preparation... This is likely to give your students a better chance of getting in great results in History... This purchase was worth every penny.
What do teachers say about this resource? (7652)
This is an extremely comprehensive resource and is going to be invaluable for our planning... It follows the excellent template that ZigZag use which is clear detail, not overly wordy yet extremely relevant and linked to the specification... Excellent timeline at the start - important for students to have an overview of the time period... Excellent coverage of each 'Premiership' giving the key pros and cons of each PM ... Key words/terms are very good and allows the students to consolidate their learning throughout... I like the number of different activities peppered throughout the resource - it keeps the students focused and allows them to apply their knowledge throughout... The 'springboard' points are a really good vehicle for discussion and possibly planning of essays - a brilliant inclusion... The 'For Your Information' boxes are brilliant for providing students with the historical context they need to utilise in their exams... The answers for each activity are really good - very helpful for the teachers and their planning! Overall, I love this resource and would have no hesitation in buying it! I believe it is an indispensable companion to the course.
On the whole the resource is both useful and versatile. It can be used to support the learning in the classroom through the use of set tasks and as an aid for revision... The timeline at the beginning is particularly useful to give the students a general overview of key events and the individuals involved. The links to video clips are also very useful.
This resource would work very nicely alongside the core textbook, the module can be very heavy, therefore to supply students with a set of core notes such as this would benefit their learning greatly. I would use this resource and would recommend it to my peers.
