Buy ZigZag resources over any others. They are worth more than anything else. Amazing – easier for students to access than giving them a sample or past paper. You can dip into specific questions as topics are covered in class. ZigZag always produce the best! No more to be said.
Excellent resources: I have used it towards the end of Year 11 to practice exam paper techniques. It has a range of possible exam questions, plus marking schemes. Excellent value for money as it really gets students to focus on writing skills.
A wonderful resource to develop essential writing skills at GCSE. It has enabled us to create end of unit and exam skills focus sessions. A fantastic match to the AQA specification.
I like how it is presented in the exact same format as the real papers, it helps train the student to know what to expect on the examination day. It assesses the students on their writing skills according to the topical areas as listed by AQA. The mark scheme is very similar to AQA’s and the suggested answers are useful to guide the students accordingly.

Excellent resource for listening skills for Year 10 and Year 11. I particularly like this resource because of the transcripts which can also be used for translation, gap filling etc.
Clear and easy to use. Excellent preparation for the exam. There is a very clear mark scheme which can be shared with students to help them understand what is required.
Very thorough coverage of the new specification, both in terms of language contact and question format. It is very clear and easy to use. It provides much needed exam practice beyond topic specific work in the text books. Excellent quality audio.
There is a good variety of tasks, with a good level of challenge. Having the transcript included means I can also focus on literacy skills and student can develop their listening skills especially when they come across unfamiliar vocab. I would recommend it, as it can be used in class for independent work or even interventions.
I really liked the resource – the style of the questions, topics and format are all identical to the AQA specimen papers and having an extra set of papers for practise in the summer will be very useful indeed.
High level of challenge and good higher level language used.

Well structured and following AQA requirements as expected. I like how it supports the assessment of the speaking component taking into account the students’ need to be able to interact, ask questions, offer opinions and handle a range of tenses.
Responds to a great need. It is so difficult to provide an authentic mock experience but this does the job. Prepares your pupils for this part of the new specification which is so different form the previous one.

I think that teachers will be very grateful to have this resource. I liked that it is comprehensive and well produced. (...) There is a very good coverage of all of the key topics on the spec so completing the papers will be a useful revision activity. I thought that the author found authentic but realistic literary texts which is very difficult to do, and which for me is a real selling point of these papers.
I loved the modern activities and the lay out. It is good that literary texts are used, such as the one in page 20, this way complying with the new requirements for GCSE papers. Similarly the use of translations from Spanish to English is great.
What do teachers say about this resource? (6782)
I really liked it and was impressed with the variety of questions asked and how similar they were to the sample assessment materials on the AQA website. I thought that the author also did an excellent job of finding texts which were engaging and which could also be exploited in lessons. (...) It has been very had to find accessible literary extracts and the ones provided here seem to be very good. There was nothing which I didn’t like.
Great! Very clear and similar to AQA.
I loved the modern activities and the lay out is easy to follow. It has got up to date articles which are so important in keeping students interested. There is also a wide range of activities which are easy to read and follow.
A very good resource for Years 10 and 11 to practice reading skills in a practical way.
