A Level AQA Sociology Research Grids (2015 Specification)

A brilliant idea designed to support weaker students. Students have to read their notes to complete a grid of questions in exact specification order. Cross-referenced to ZigZag's Teaching Packs to ensure a structured reading of the text.

A godsend for those students who find learning difficult and motivational for the less willing. Leads to active learning, identification of key points and the structuring of information.

  • The structured method of research grids is of great value to students, especially if they find it difficult to absorb all the information in class
  • Make the most of your teaching time – set each grid as homework and you can be sure they know the content before the next lesson
  • Fill in the gaps to ensure the whole specification is covered!

It's a good resource for both students and teachers to use. It covers all the material needed, and can be used as a quick reference for revision.

It's clear and easy to use.

Allows students to test their knowledge across the whole topic.

The resource is very thorough and covers all aspects of the Crime and Deviance module. It covers all the topic areas and includes globalisation and environmental crime. It also covers the victims of crime, which I am told will have an increased focus in the new specification.

A useful revision-based guide for the Beliefs in Society module, could be valuable in collaboration with additional resources.

What do teachers say about this resource? (8624)

An excellent resource, including clear introductory explanations on how the resource should be used. The grids contain definitions of key terms and concepts and would be extremely useful for students as a revision guide. The resource is comprehensive, and allows less able students to access the required information. An very good resource, especially for teachers delivering the subject for the first time. The resource provided the required answers which is a huge time saver for teachers

A great way to check knowledge! The grid structure is superb for checking that students have covered the content. Really like the lay out and the questions – they have a higher level of depth than many resources.
