Really liked it - very comprehensive. Clearly written by an expert. It would support a teacher with little or no knowledge of the text - and practically is 'ready to go' in terms of delivery.
This is an excellent resource, very high quality, well-informed and well-written, and very useful to teachers and students. I would definitely be happy to use this in my teaching.
I was impressed with the quality of this resource. There is a clear academic approach and detailed information that is useful for both students and teachers. The mix of information and exercises that link into each section is suitable for the age range and the resource is clearly linked to the exam boards specification. I felt that the text was broken up in a sensitive fashion and that the method of providing focus points for each section was an improvement on a more straightforward analysis of the text. Personally (for AQA), I could use the resource for wider reading at A2 and teachers who follow the Victorian Lit pathway at AS could also make use of this resource.
It is a comprehensive resource which would be useful for someone who is familiar with the text and those fresh to the text. It is concise and accurate - providing the relevant information needed. It encourages student led-learning and discussion through talking points and has suggested exercises which will help develop their understanding; the more investigative focus helps students to take ownership of the learning.
