A huge range of activities are included, from character studies and comparative tasks to reorganisation of text. This alone hits the mark for every learning method currently known. A flexible resource, built for both stretching MAT and condensing down for ALN/low ability.
A useful and versatile resource. A good mix of activities that would support a unit of work on The Hunger Games and is suitable for KS3. The self-assessment level forms would be an excellent way to focus students at the start of the unit of work. I liked the wide variety of activities, the regular speaking and listening and the cross-curricular elements. There is a clear focus on skills and development within the activities. The references to recent history link to and emphasize the genre of the novel.There is clear educational value in this resource.
This is a good resource which covers different writing forms and purposes. The students are encouraged to be reflective and there are opportunities for them to identify their strengths and targets.
The resource provided a range of useful activities that would make for an interesting scheme of work. There were a number of activities that seemed to address the different learning styles. I particularly liked the more practical activities that encouraged the students to be more active.
