I like how the range of tasks allows students to see from a variety of perspectives. Context, narrative style and themes are explored which relate to the AFs and the AOs when they go into KS4. This resource booklet is easy to use and provides a range of activities which can be adapted to suit most KS3 classes. You can easily set up cover lessons from it also if they are required.
I like the focus on the author as this encourages KS3 students to consider the context an essential skill for KS4.
I love the fact that the discussion points are exhaustive - this would not only allow for a discussion every lesson, but also for classes to be split into the groups, given a discussion topic and asked to explore it before feeding back to the class as a team.
The creative writing exercises are very thorough.
