This is an outstanding resource... It provides notes on each chapter as well as character studies, notes considering each theme and analysis of style... This resource superbly meets the requirements of the WJEC specification. It addresses all AOs and provides examples of answers to use as models... [I would purchase this resource] without reservation... An impressive resource. Teachers and students would find it invaluable.
Very good. Very comprehensive in its coverage of possible focuses for study. I particularly liked the inter-textual links that are made explicit. There are plenty of suggestions within this resource as well as links to films and other media such as comics and episodes from TV series. That is all very helpful for planning and offering options to groups.
The style of the summaries and commentaries is excellent because although it offers some insights, it does not dictate meaning and leaves enough room for learners to be able to make their own interpretations.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the resource; it was thorough, perceptive and very detailed in its analysis... The sections on narrative structure and narrative style were particularly useful, especially the text-specific language. I also appreciated the character studies, broken into the relevant sections of the novel with specific subheadings describing how the three central characters are changing.
