A lovely resource; reassuring in the way Betjeman is dealt with. Well laid out with comprehensive information and activities. I liked the tone of the questions, which effectively deal with all of the requirements of analysing this type of poetry - use of language, tone, structure, idealism v traditionalism. The resource enhances learning by encouraging students to look deeper into the words, and by understanding the poet as an individual. The educational value is evident in the clear direction given to students in the questions and the way they are constructed.
Very useful... With pertinent questions to encourage students to think. The questions accompanying the texts are particularly well designed. They encourage the students to focus on the hidden meanings and agendas of the poetry.
