Clear and comprehensive. It provides a detailed set of ideas and summaries for a novel which has little critical work on it to date. I doubt whether there's anything better on The Kite Runner around at the moment. It provides very good ideas about themes and contexts which the teacher or student will need to consider. It is clearly presented and everything is where you would expect to find it under the given headings. One of the best resources I have reviewed.
It is thoughtful and comprehensive... It covers all the essential elements of the text... with a useful summary and analysis of each chapter. It seems to be pitched at absolutely the right level for A level. I was particularly impressed by the detail of some of the analysis, and the clarity of the 'bigger picture' given of Afghan history.
A brilliant resource to use with my students. Good photocopiable resource for the busy teacher. Gives a clear structure to revision.
Really informative, pupil friendly. Contextual info is great. Resource focuses students for AQA B Literature exam. Really useful information on narrative style & structures – excellent for Unit LITB1 exam.
Extremely detailed and written in a way which specified key points regarding narrative structure. I liked the layout & organisation, and the way in which each chapter was clearly analysed with the use of bold type as a pointer to the narrative elements.
Thorough and useful... covers all key aspects well. It will save a great deal of time for anyone teaching the book and will allow the teacher to deliver the unit with expertise. A useful resource which I will find very helpful in my planning. Just what I needed!
Focused – chapter by chapter, detailed notes. Overall notes of themes etc. also useful.... It works, it is supportive…so buy it.
