This is an extremely useful resource, ideally suited for cover teachers / supervisors who may not be English specialists... I particularly liked the way each cover lesson contained a range of activities which should ensure all pupils are kept on task and engaged throughout... Opportunities for developing literacy skills are intrinsic to this resource. Spelling and vocabulary work is consistently addressed. Appropriate definitions of new terminology are supplied making it possible for students to progress without specialist teacher input... Presentation is excellent... Layout is effectively eye-catching... ensures well-structured learning in cover lessons... A practical, useful resource which could be used effectively for cover lessons by any English department.
I like the fact that there are so many different topics covered, each one able to 'stand alone' as a cover lesson. Pupils would enjoy working their way through each lesson... covers a wide range of essential topics at a challenging level... The lessons are enjoyable enough to encourage pupils to work through them willingly during a cover lesson.
The fact that (the lessons) are self-contained and could be delivered by anyone is great.

It helps introduce and reinforce vocabulary... a useful resource for someone who has to organise tasks for a class at very short notice.
Good layout on the page with clear instructions even for lower ability sets... It can be used as a sequence of lessons... Means that cover will not be repeated, and relevant to GCSE course.
