What do teachers say about this resource? (12750)
A very thorough and detailed pack... Well researched and written... It offers a full comprehensive study of the play and gives many different options of activities for teachers... I like the breadth of study in this pack and how it gives students many different areas of the play to explore and research. It has some excellent contextual detail within it and the flipped learning style of the text works for differentiated ability groups in classes. The split of the scenes into separate areas of study, with tables of terminology that connect to the scenes is helpful. I also like how there are answers at the end of the pack - very useful for newer teachers who need the guidance... This has definite educational value and would enhance any students understanding of the play. It allows for students to have a fully rounded study of the play and it covers all the AOs, which is important for flipped learning. This could be used as a catch up resource for any students who has missed a lot of study, or could be used as a homework resource alongside class study. It offers many options to the busy teacher... I would purchase this definitely - it would save a lot of time and be the perfect ‘flipped’ homework booklet for students... Excellent for revision too... This was a pleasure to review. - really well composed and written and obviously took someone a long time to craft. Well done... A top quality universal resource.
A detailed and comprehensive resource that offers teachers a wealth of activities and information to help them deliver a scheme of work on A Streetcar Named Desire. The extension tasks incorporated throughout the pack encourage students to think critically about the text, and the pre-reading tasks prepare them for key ideas/themes that will be explored in the scene... There is an effective balance between support and stretch and challenge which works particularly well... I particularly liked the tasks linked to context as these will help deepen students' knowledge beyond a surface-level understanding of the play. Additionally, the tasks which encourage students to engage with the dramatic elements of the play enhance their appreciation of the play’s craftsmanship... By providing structured activities, the pack helps to engage students more deeply with the text. The incorporation of key terminology for each scene also encourages students to utilise technical vocabulary in their discussion of the text.
