I love this resource, it is incredibly helpful. I can say this is one of the most practical and comprehensive resources I have ever seen. I cannot wait to be able to use it with my students. I like the clarity and the structure, and the intro with specific guidance and support; this is very helpful to teach the skills through direct instruction. The fact that exam practice is grouped per topic is particularly helpful as teacher can use each exam question tailored to content covered as they make progress. Peer assessment grids are a great option to support collaboration and metacognition – this is a great addition to the resource and lends itself very well to develop self-efficacy and critical thinking,
Great resource pitched at the right level, so well done! This is an easy resource to use which requires little planning or explanation on the teacher’s part. There are lots of practice activities based around the new GCSE writing specification. I like the way it offers practice for all 5 questions for Foundation and all 3 for Higher tier type exercises for the new specification. The support for the translation task is very good, as this is something that many students struggle with.
It is a very comprehensive resource which I think Year 11 teachers will find useful. The how to write an article/blog/email is very good and the key words and phrases are extremely helpful.
