Lots of great exercises for students to gain confidence tackling the new layout and tasks for the Reading GCSE AQA German exam. This is especially important as next year will be the first year in which the new specification will be applied and teachers and students alike we are a bit anxious about identifying , understanding and applying the changes so that students succeed in the exams starting from 2026. I like the way the worksheets are differentiated into the 5 different levels,1, 2 and 3 for the Foundation tier and 3 and 4 for Higher tier, with 5 for the more able ones.

All in all, this resource is very elaborate and includes all the relevant topics that are required in the AQA syllabus. The language is appropriate for this teaching group. The texts are written in simple and understandable German. I like that the materials are organised by difficulty starting with the easiest and shorter texts first. The multiple-choice tasks at the beginning of each chapter allow the students to familiarise themselves with the topic before moving on to text understanding tasks. The resource is very well structured. The answer section at the end of the resource will be especially useful to teachers.
