What do teachers say about this resource? (12249)
The content is exam focused and contains well written material for the ‘Worlds and Lives’ cluster... As a teacher this is an excellent resource to aid planning... Really useful as it covers all AOs and provides extensive background content... I would be confident as a teacher that everything has been addressed... The ‘make the link’ questions are challenging but do encourage the more able to make excellent comparative links.
A very helpful, effective resource that will support teachers with this new anthology. The resource offers a range of approaches and key information that can be easily used in the classroom... I like the key information about each poem... The essay response section that includes different levels of response is a good idea. The questions on each poem are helpful (it's good to see suggestions for answers too), and I particularly liked the deeper thinking questions as these are good for discussion... The longer, prose 'analysis' of each poem is useful in showing how this knowledge can be incorporated into longer paragraphs of writing. I like this section, and there is a valuable and thorough level of detail. The 'make the link' boxes are useful to promote thinking and discussion as well as for building comparisons. The comparison mind-maps are a useful springboard into essay writing and comparison of poems for students.
