What do teachers say about this resource? (12228)
I really liked this... It offered an excellent balance between giving an overview of the text, highlighting salient points and details, and specific, examination advice for the Edexcel spec. This would be an excellent resource for helping a teacher or a pupil prepare for the assessment... I really liked the range of activities: they were innovative, creative, and flexible... I found the notes on each section of the novel very perceptive and thought-provoking. There were a few points which helped to develop my thinking on this novel which I have been teaching for the last six years at A Level! The resource enhances learning through its laser focus on the requirements of the Edexcel examination. There were some very clear and thorough explanations of what was required in terms of a response. The breakdown of what each level looked like managed to translate the 'exam speak' of the specification into an easily understandable explanation that pupils could access and use to assess their own work... I really enjoyed reading through this resource: it helped me reflect on my own teaching and knowledge of the text and gave me lots of ideas about how I could develop my own coverage of this text in class with my pupils.
