What do teachers say about this resource? (12008)
An outstanding resource which has clearly has a huge amount of work and effort put in. I wish I had this resource when I started teaching A Level English Language and Literature - it would have been a life saver. It is detailed, easy to follow and most importantly, it gives a busy teacher HOURS and HOURS worth of quality resources. I salute whoever made this - you are going to make other teacher's lives so much easier... I particularly like the depth of detail this resource goes into - it involves a lot of high quality terminology that is advanced beyond the majority of A level English Lit and Lang resources that you find advertised. It is also flexible and adaptable - very important for a class which may have a wide range of abilities. The variety of activities that are available means students won't get bored of a certain type of task and each one seems to consolidate the other... This has massive educational value - it is a one stop shop for terminology, it means that starter activities can be focused on different areas of the course and students can build their own glossaries once they have completed the tasks. This must have taken whoever made it hours and hours and it is superb... I love the menu of resources - easy to access and follow. All of the activity sheets logically work and are clear and accurate... Bravo to whoever made this. It is one of the best Lang Lit resources I have ever seen. I would like to see more from this person - they obviously know their subject very well.
I really like this... These are the kind of activities I would like to be able to plan myself if I had the time. I am confident my students will prefer to complete these activities rather than the repetitive recall testing at the start of lessons. Useful, engaging activities which will hopefully introduce a bit of fun and variety when testing students’ vocabulary... Comprehensive resource covering wide range of linguistic terminology... Clear instructions for each activity... The bingo activities will hopefully motivate students as they are more enjoyable than conventional testing/recall activities while consolidating their knowledge... The crossword activities can be completed online - this acknowledges the importance IT plays in the way students learn and, again, will hopefully engage students and encourage them to work independently. The Dominoes activities will help students to work with each other and lend themselves well to collaborative learning. Some students are anxious about answering questions in class. These activities provide a safe context in which they can make mistakes, learn from those mistakes and build their confidence... I envisage this resource being used in the classroom and also on the school VLE for homework/revision.
