Mini-Mocks for GCSE AQA Music

All the benefits of mock exam practice – now easy to fit into any scheme of work

Offer your students continuous exam-style practice in addition to formal mocks:

  • Use under timed, exam conditions at the end of each AoS for focused exam training
  • Or as an in-class walk-through to support students in developing exam skills
  • Also great as stand-alone homeworks

Two condensed practice exam papers for AoS1: Western classical tradition 1650–1910. Each 30-minute paper fits easily into lesson time and contains:

  • Two unfamiliar listening questions in Section A exam style, covering the range of question types for realistic exam practice
  • One Section B-style Set Work question to hone extended response skills
  • A full mark scheme in exam style for easy self-, peer or teacher assessment

Uses 2022 Mozart Set Work.

What do teachers say about this resource? (10582)

Excellent and is heavily modelled on the current AQA examination papers.

Very good range of examination questions covering a variety of musical elements and features. There is accuracy in the questions that cover the span of questions found in the current AQA papers.

The level of detail in both 8-mark questions is excellent and gives students plenty to consider but also the teacher can easily mark the work - a real benefit!

The criteria is visible as well as the mark scheme and each bullet point is clear. I also like the breadth of key terms that this resource covers alone.

This resource will be very beneficial to both staff and students as they are gaining access to valuable examination questions to prepare them for the Listening Paper. The fact that a range of questions are covered and spanning the vast vocabulary of this Area of Study is an added bonus.

A high quality resource that contributes to student preparation for the Listening Paper.
