Extremely good stuff. From opening of the resource it is clear that it was well researched. The comparisons to other texts focus is brilliant and will encourage a love of reading for our Literature students; the author uses a good range of well-known texts to do this and it is very focused on the new A Level assessment objectives.
This is an excellent resource. The guidance for students through the text is exemplary. The extracts for the comparative tasks are useful as means of helping students develop their skills, especially with the focused questions. A thorough and professional study pack... Instils confidence in both student and teacher alike!
An engaging way through the text. The AOs could not be more explicitly addressed. The pack encourages close reading and analysis with a variety of activities, both written and spoken with lots of prompts. A great time-saver for those teaching the novel for the first time.
It is detailed and gives some great ideas for activities for my students. Many of the activities were very interesting and would give students a wider understanding of the text. The 'Activities on the Text as a Whole' section really tests knowledge and understanding of the text... These questions could easily be given out as homework activities. Gave me a good insight into the new specs.
