There is a lot of useful information contained within this resource... I particularly liked the section on key quotations – it’s useful for students to see them annotated so that they can learn quotations and explanations of their meaning and impact simultaneously rather than quotations in isolation which then they struggle to use. The notes on form and structure are also very useful – comprehensive and give students of all abilities all they would need to know for GCSE study... Useful for plot revision and revision of key themes. In this respect it enhances learning well.
An extremely thorough resource, which will help to guide students through their revision well... I loved the range of content covered. I particularly liked the clear discussion of structure and form, which students often get confused about. The specific inclusion of Dickens' techniques in relation to language is an excellent addition too, as this helps to fully prepare students for the exam... This is the perfect resource for students - it allows for independent and collaborative revision. I would be happy to use these to assist my delivery or to support a revision lesson. Simultaneously, I would feel confident in using these to set cover for a class... A fantastic resource. I can only begin to imagine how many students will benefit from this.
Excellent breakdown of information... Chunkable to split revision across several days... Identifies key quotes, key themes, and key scenes from the text and breaks them down into chunks so that students can easily memorise the key information needed for recall... It matches the specification perfectly... The resource is excellent for helping students identify what is needed to meet assessment objectives.
Really excellent and I will definitely use it for my teaching... It covers all aspects of the text in very good detail and will save teachers a lot of preparation time... The suggested activities are also useful, as are the practice essay questions and revision tips... All the assessment objectives are covered, and a teacher won't need to spend much time preparing other notes on the text, which is definitely a huge bonus for those who spend hours working in the evenings and at weekends... I should like to thank and congratulate the author(s) for producing a pack which will be a great asset to both students and teachers.
