Topic on a Page for A Level OCR A Chemistry (Year 1 & 2)

Wonderfully visual

D Taborda, Teacher & Peer Reviewer (from Politics edition)

Visually engaging A3 posters with concise, easy-to-learn summaries of every specification topic. Help students see the bigger picture on an entire topic.

Included for each of the 7-18 topics:

  1. Summary Poster giving at-a-glance overview
  2. Partially complete Activity Poster to test knowledge
  3. Outline Poster providing the structure to complete revision notes
  • photocopiable A3 format (or shrink to A4 without loss of detail)
  • diagrams and images illuminate key concepts
  • synthetic routes page is a brilliant overview
  • exam tips provide guidance in tricky areas
  • practical summaries and annotated mechanisms support learning and understanding

What a fantastic idea. These are perfect overviews of key ideas.

Versatile
  • Perfect for end-of-topic consolidation
  • Use as place mats or as a classroom display
  • Great knowledge organisers; perfect revision overviews before exams
  • Partially complete Activity Posters make an excellent homework

Very good – ‘activity’ versions particularly useful for students to complete to make a nice compact summary

I particularly liked the comprehensive approach to complex concepts. The resource breaks down large topics into digestible sections, making it accessible for learners of varying levels. The clear explanations and well-structured exercises enable a deeper understanding of fundamental principles, providing a solid foundation for more advanced studies. Students should be able to use this as practice and then apply their knowledge to exam questions.
The incorporation of visual aids, such as graphs, and illustrations, was a helpful feature. These made the content more engaging but also aided in visualizing abstract concepts, one of the problems I found in class.
It supports the chemistry curriculum and is a very useful revision resource.
One of its notable strengths lies in its ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. Each section goes into depth about the theory e.g. enthalpy change but then challenges students with questions which will help them in their exam. Really helpful resource.

Very good – ‘activity’ versions particularly useful for students to complete to make a nice compact summary. Students like them, great layout and editable option. ...all they need in one place!

These Organic Chemistry Resource Sheets are a fantastic resource for A-level candidates...they provide a complete overview with examples and many reactions that include the conditions under which the reactions take place. Most important is that each topic in the specification is on a single page which makes it easy for the student to review an entire topic in a very short space of time.

A very useful revision resource summarising the relevant info. The partly filled versions make [students] think and hunt for the relevant info to complete them. The completed versions are then a good check and summary.
Good for various ability levels to get something out of it.
