What do teachers say about this resource? (12419)

The content of the resource is consistently high quality, worksheets provide the opportunity for pupils to assess their knowledge of each topic area which is a useful tool to self-assess prior to completing the resource and then revisit the assessment after utilising the resource.
The resource is suitable for all level 1/2 pupils, providing tasks for all assessment levels allowing pupils to be challenged. All of the assessment objectives are covered in enough detail and cover all of the relevant topics. The resource and practice exam questions provide pupils with the opportunity to develop skills that will allow them to answer all levels of exam questions from stating/identifying to assessing and evaluating. The terminology used throughout is relevant to BTEC and mirrors the way the exam questions will be posed. Section A activities are suitable, providing pupils with the opportunity to test their knowledge of COFs and link these to sport-specific situations. Self-explanatory and easy-to-follow activities. All exam questions use BTEC-specific language which is beneficial for pupils to know what the questions are asking according to the language and how many marks are associated with these command words. The scenarios used throughout the resources are appropriate to a variety of sports and allow pupils the opportunity to link their knowledge to numerous sports. This is very useful as I have found that pupils I have previously taught have struggled in the exam as the questions sometimes focus on non-traditional sports that they may not have knowledge of. Activities are suitable and test the knowledge of pupils, they link directly to the content being taught in the AO and allow pupils to be challenged thus being appropriate for all learners. I would use all of these resources within my teaching. They could easily be used as guided resources in lessons or set as homework/revision materials for pupils to use independently.
