Learning Grids for BTEC Tech Award (2022)

A fantastic way to support weaker learners!

Students read their textbook/notes to complete a grid of questions covering Component 3 in exact order. Cross-referenced to the ZigZag Course Companion and to the Pearson-endorsed textbooks.

The vocab matches the specification and is useful for extremely stressed students who need that little extra push in the right direction and make sense of component 3

What do teachers say about this resource? (12273)

A well written resource. The order in which the resource is set out reflect the order in which it is taught. The exam questions are scenario based which provides the students with good exam practice. The physiological indicators are covered in detail and use appropriate charts and information.

I think that this is a good resource to embed the course content for component 3 into your classroom teaching or enhance independent learning activities. The activities are simple and straightforward forward making it an ideal resource to supplement teaching and learning. The resource has a logical flow and follows the specification of component 3... It can be dipped in and out when needed by the teacher to support learning where necessary. PIES is referred to throughout to reinforce the links needed to this throughout Component 3. The vocab matches the specification and is useful for extremely stressed students who need that little extra push in the right direction and make sense of component 3. Written in a very accessible style, with space for the students to apply their findings/answers. Opportunities are provided with answers linked with PIES which is invaluable for success in the exam. Anyone can use this resource with confidence. A very valuable resource especially for those teaching HSC for the first time

I thought that this resource was well throughout and planned... It includes everything that is required for component 3 and is worded in a way that is accessible to students. I liked that it provided a revision resource for all elements of component 3. I think that the structure of the resource is clear. ... This resource would enhance the learning of students as it is a valuable tool to assess gaps in students learning so that extra teacher input can be provided.
