What do teachers say about this resource? (9864)
The resource is extremely comprehensive and covers the specifications for Unit 14. The resource has been mapped extremely well to the specification and how the activities can be used. The activities will certainly benefit the learners learning and enhance their understanding, so when it comes to completing the assignment their scope of applying their knowledge will be sound. The teachers notes before each activity are presented nicely and very easy to follow. [I like...] the amount of activities within it. Each activity has been clearly planned showing a clear link of understanding physiological disorders. The activities are varied throughout and using case studies are great as learners can reflect holistically with regards to the disorder in question. The resource is clearly planned with the specification in mind. Learners will be able to use the resource to compliment and enhance learning further from that of what the teacher delivers. The resource can be used a starter activity or as consolidation activity. The resource is presented extremely well. The one thing that caught my eye immediately was the specification reference table. Every aspect of the specification has been mapped into the resource and this is clearly reflected with the activities presented. I personally cannot suggest any improvements for improving this resource. I would 100% purchase this resource. I have taught unit 14 for the last 3 years and this resource would have been my lifesaver when coming to differentiate learning activities. An absolute privilege to review this resource. A considerable amount of time and effort has gone into the making of such an amazing resource. Thank you.
The resource provides a range of activities to allow tutors/ teachers to check learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills before learners begin the independent coursework tasks. Every activity involves some type of useful collaboration with other learners (normally 2-4) and their requirements are designed to meet a variety of learning styles/ preferences. Activities foster active learning & team work, which are so important for level 3 success.
A wide range of activities are provided that could be used in various parts of a lesson (e.g. a quick starter/ plenary or a more substantial investigative task). Each activity comes with useful tutor guidance notes and possible answers. The results of each provides the teacher with some valuable feedback on the quality and quantity of their students’ learning, skills and confidence... letting them [the teacher] know when these students are ready to start the internal assessment. This should help with planning and meeting the specific needs of the learners.
The layout is a strong feature... immediately the reference table provides a clear overview about what is required for each activity, which topic and which learning aim it is geared towards. The accompanying teachers’ notes with aims / instructions / possible answers will be very welcome for busy teachers.
