In general, I think this is a versatile, comprehensive resource which will definitely help pupils improve their vocabulary.
I particularly liked the “top tips” sections that give direction and guidance on skills to use and pitfalls to avoid.
The grammar sections have a clear layout and give examples to make the concept accessible for pupils . Grammar explanations are concise and so easy for pupils to digest. It makes sense to give grammar terminology and explanations at the beginning. The need for pupils to know this is often overlooked.
The mindmaps are logically structured and give a clear overview for quick retrieval. This visual input will help pupils notice patterns and connections quicker.
Comprehensive in terms of the breadth of topics, vocab and grammar coverage. Vocab and grammar are essential parts of the course. Pupils constantly need practice, synonyms, antonyms and tips so this resource checks those boxes.
This resource helps all four skills – reading, writing, listening and even speaking if mindmaps are discussed. The mindmaps help visual learning and ordering ideas – great for revision and consolidation of knowledge. Instructions are given in the target language just like in the exams
The layout is clear and the structure is logical.
The resource is flexible enough to be used across different exam board specs. For AQA which I teach, it is appropriate in terms of vocab level and coverage. The grammar topics with examples cover all the key grammar points needed for our board.
It would serve well as revision, homework or for use during a topic to enhance vocab learning. There is enough support for pupils to work independently if needed.
Nice resource with lots of different listening and reading activities, as well as mind map consolidation. The grammar recap is fab and although pupils will have covered it elsewhere, it's nice to be reminded of it and then have it linked to the topic in question in the reading comprehension.
