The resource guides the students to gather the relevant information and assimilate it in a different order, which will aid consolidation of knowledge and deepen understanding
Requires minimal preparation and interaction from the teacher: ideal for cover lessons or homework
Working alone or in pairs, with or without their books, every student can engage with this resource. A godsend for students who find it difficult to absorb information in class!
- Questions cover all assessment objectives – developing students’ ability to demonstrate understanding and apply knowledge
- Full specification coverage – great for using as revision notes
- Particularly supports 'hands-on' learners who need to write down information to absorb it
Pack includes question-only grids and answer versions for easy marking.
Plus! Extension tasks challenge students to create links to unseen media types – perfect for exam practice!

What do teachers say about this resource? (12660)
Multi-purpose use... Would make for easy cover lessons/ revision lessons... A good resource for building knowledge – utilising the key points in the text book so interprets the specification well.
A really interesting and helpful resource. I can see it being useful both during the teaching of C1 and the revision of the unit before exams... Comprehensive and time saving for teachers... I liked the thoroughness of the questions asked which covered all aspects of each set product's questions. I liked the sections covering the theoretical framework at the beginning which are flexible and can be used in a number of ways: as a note taking activity during initial teaching, as a homework resource to support lessons, or as a revision resource which would help teachers identify areas of weakness or misunderstanding... It aids both learning and revision as the individual questions are really useful to focus students. I think this resource would especially be useful for lower ability students as the learning is broken down into pertinent key questions.
What do teachers say about this resource? (10108)
A well structured and well thought out independent study/revision resource... It matches the A Level specification very well and builds on students’ knowledge of the Component 1 set products and related theories in a very comprehensive way... The resource guides the students to gather the relevant information contained in different places within the course companion and the textbook, and assimilate it in a different order, which will aid consolidation of the knowledge and deepen understanding... The level of detail contained in the completed answer grids, and the way it is structured into two sections (the theoretical framework first and then the set products) is excellent.
