The resource is superb. For such a difficult topic which hasn’t been included by Edexcel before, this resource helps with the planning and execution of the sheer variation of activities offered and allows the Teachers delivering this unit to really understand how to progress through this unit and help their students with their progress.... A fantastic series of resources – really impressive.
An excellent resource which has allowed us to effectively plan challenging and thoughtful activities for our students to undertake ... The activities are varied and are constantly probing the students to think beyond the simple... The students can use this pack for revision activities to consolidate their learning and I will check their effort... you can utilise the resources in a number of ways, e.g.: starter, class discussion.

Good systematic approach... with each activity moving onto the next seamlessly – they all link together carefully... Activity 7 (Scenario) – a really good thinking task... carefully chosen, ie: role of the prime Minister needing examples and detail – useful case studies... indispensable
The range of activities keep the students engaged and enthused – Timelines (which could be used for team games in class), thinking exercise (getting them to think analytically in preparation for the exam), Comprehension (which could be adapted into a source question), essay writing (again to develop their skills in this area especially with new mark schemes and understanding the requirements of the course) Activity 12 is fantastic - This is a good activity to get students to understand the difficulties when choosing a Cabinet.

Varied and useful activities for students to consolidate their knowledge... They have been able to break down the differing aspects of knowledge into useful activities... To aid with easy planning and quick activities, this resource is invaluable to any library of resources.
ZigZag has really produced a wonderful set of resources for the new specification... The Constitution Activity pack is welcome and certainly the staff Teaching this unit are very happy that this has come up for review.

Carefully put together with students in mind. Teachers can use this resource ‘out of the pack’ with very little planning needed ... I can use some of these tasks for ‘’challenge’’ tasks with higher achieving students to stretch them... It can be used as a revision booklet, individual tasks or a template to develop on – very versatile. I really think that ‘the perfect election’ task is very good... invaluable for any teacher that is struggling to plan activities for electoral systems.
This resource is absolutely brilliant - once again this author has correctly identified what the students need to do to build up their exam skills and knowledge. I am very pleased that the new specification has been catered for. As always, you can count on ZigZag to produce really good resources which hit the nail on the head... Quite easily, the Teacher could plan their entire Electoral Systems Unit based on this resource. It is particularly useful for Teachers who are teaching Politics for the 1st time in terms of planning and execution of the lessons.

The activities have engaged the students fully showing their enthusiasm. I am a very happy teacher! [I liked] the versatility of the resources but also the variety. One activity isn’t exactly the same as the next which is pleasing as the tasks don’t become repetitive... [How does it help you or your students?] For me – planning and inspiration when I’m struggling to communicate a particular topic. Students – revision activities made easier for them – this compounds the content through easy activities... It is specifically written for the Edexcel specification and therefore means that all activities are specific to the course, meaning clear and specific advice and tasks for the students... buy this as it complements your existing resources superbly.
I think this is excellent and just what our department needs to engage students in this first component...It fits the specification identically. It is another perfect tool to go along with what we have already created.
Without a shadow of a doubt, I'd purchase this resource. This one has taken account of the Assessment Objectives and really tailored activities to what is required in the exam. It is quite simply one of the best resources I have seen for a while. The activities are extremely varied – I particularly like the representative/direct democracy activity which gets students really thinking about the differences and the perceived advantages/disadvantages. This matches the specification perfectly - I prefer resources like this which aren't one size fits all - I want a resource which I can use straight away without having to adapt it.

I am excited that a publishing company is taking the time to produce such wonderfully specific resources for the new specification. The activities chosen will captivate students and keep them focused on the task at hand. Students can expect a variation in activities and will also be able to approach this unit very analytically and with an evaluative mind based on these activities. Activity 15 is excellent – the students having to watch PMQs and comment on the key points is a very clever way of getting students to understand the functions of Parliament and how effective they are at carrying them out.
The essay practice is very good. With a new specification, it is hard to find a huge bank of questions but this allows for such activities to be done with the students... They can visualise what at times is very heavy content through enjoyable and engaging activities ... written with students in mind... spend less time planning how to deliver the content to the students... well worth the money.

A very good balance of quick activities and lesson-long activities which can keep students engaged... It takes the stress and aggravation out of planning. These activities have been a bedrock of our course and the students have responded positively ... The students find the activities a good way of consolidating their learning – good prompts to help with this... There is clear evidence of knowledge of the specification making the tasks very relevant and interchangeable with other resources... the activity pack has been implemented easily and fully into our teaching
Excellent step by step activity plan... Activity 3 is excellent - a really good way to show the differences in selecting judges pre and post-Constitutional reform act... Activity 4 is excellent for showing the unrepresentative nature of the UK Judiciary... The educational value is quite simply invaluable. Also, this entire resource has made it easier to plan the unit in terms of activities and delivering content. Superb companion to the textbook.
