What do teachers say about this resource? (11699)
Well structured with a range of interesting and engaging activities designed to use information from a range of sources... I particularly liked the Report of a Trial/Crime task as it helped to familiarise the student with the process of law and order and so was an important consolidation exercise. Also the vocabulary bank that was encouraged to be used at the start of such tasks was a great instruction, to help students become familiar with these terms and how they were used... It helps students gain an overview of the crime across the period in easy stages. It also directs students in how and when to conduct their own research and then apply it for a specific purpose... I think it matches the specification in terms of skills very well and understanding of content it does well too. For example the assessment of prison systems through personal research is a very good way to build evaluation and knowledge.
I liked this resource... I liked the variety of activities... I particularly liked the contrast between short answers and extension activities for the more able... [The resource] enhances learning by consolidating knowledge... Its educational value is to let students take ownership of the material... It interprets/matches the specification well.
The wide range of different activities should serve to engage different leaners with a range of abilities... From missing words tasks, to research activities, to exam preparation this resource has you covered... I value this resource as it allows from single, paired, group and whole class approaches... This resources matches very well with the specification as the resources are chronological.
