What do teachers say about this resource? (7436)
Stimulating ideas... a range of activities to engage learners either as a starter or plenary... Linking the activities directly to the specification was also helpful. I liked some of the more flow-chart based activities such as "Activity 1: what is economics"... for those colleagues hard-pressed for time I can see this activity pack being a significant time saver. It will, for most activities, break away from traditional teaching styles.

Highly useful in giving students a range of activities to support their learning of theme 3. Very appropriate tasks for starters and plenaries, which will speed up planning time for teachers. This also would be useful for students who are struggling and aid them with revision. Activities are clearly varied and have a good structure to them... Summary pages before each topic explain the activities... direct relation to assessment objectives... Diagram practice... Answers are provided... Good for getting students to think of key information, recall and practice key knowledge at the start of end of lesson. These activities work well as starters and plenaries as they are short and snappy tasks that students can get on with independently but can also be reused over and over again as revision/interleaved learning.
It covers the whole specification for Theme 3. The variety of activities is excellent and the examples given are contemporary and in line with exam. The resource provides ample opportunity for different styles of learning be it as an individual or in a larger group... I particularly liked the detail that each of the activities goes into in terms of the specific detail of the specification... I feel the resource is useful to embed the key knowledge of the exam specification... All the main content is covered and the detail of the course content is all covered.
Some interesting activities to engage the learner such as activity 6, the costs exercise... It matches the specification well and interprets the specification appropriately.

Appropriate activities that can be used to reinforce knowledge and to assess progress. The activities can be used potentially as quick homework review pieces... especially useful for those colleagues with insufficient time to prepare materials.
I have acquired or will acquire all of the starter and plenaries resources for the Edexcel 2015 specification as they generate ideas as to how to start a lesson and clearly fit the specification.
Time-saving and fit the specification. Occasionally, the resource might have a great idea for more of a "fun starter".
It saves time and generates ideas. It is nice to know what other teachers do and occasionally there are some very good ideas.
These resources are worth having. It fits the specification well.
