What do teachers say about this resource? (8309, 8310)
I thought this resource was excellent and very useful... I think this would be an excellent introduction booklet for the class that could be set as homework and read before each lesson. It could also be used as a work alongside companion. Students could also use this as a revision tool to prepare for the exam.
This would be a good resource to plan lessons from or to create resources and could also be provided to pupils who are out of lessons for any reason to work independently... detailed information that would help a candidate prepare for this specification. The range of sample exam questions is good... pictures provide a break to the text... All the key points from the spec seem to be covered fully, including things that were added in the final draft of the specification such as the changing religious make up of Britain. I liked the information on Pilgrimage as it clearly explains the similarities and differences between pilgrimage to Walsingham and Taize.
What do teachers say about this resource? (7366, 7367)
This resource is comprehensive, clearly signposting key concepts at the beginning of chapters and making reference to these through the resource. The addition of 'quick questions' allows students to apply knowledge and to consolidate learning using exam-style questions, which are also present throughout the resource. There is a good mixture of text-to-images and the layout of the resource is easy-to-read. In a one-person department, these resources act as a useful quasi-second-in-department!
