Learning Grids for GCSE OCR A Biology
A fantastic way to support weaker learners!
Students read their textbooks/notes to complete a grid of questions in exact specification order.
The structured and active learning method helps students understand the key points and build confidence.
Brilliant for students who learn best by doing. Dramatically improves learning for learners in need of additional support; highly motivating.

I especially like the experiment time pages at the end of each section... I also like that it includes the mathematical skills required for the course such as the magnification calculations.

I really liked this resource and would love to buy it.
It has various different questions types which closely match those used by OCR. The content matches the specification very well and I like how there are specific questions for higher and lower students.
Lots of opportunities to practice and assess maths and data handling skills.
This is a useful formative tool for both student and teacher. It can be used in lessons to assess learning at that moment, as homework or even used as part of summative assessment as an end of unit test.
A fantastic resource. It would be an excellent addition to a schools resource bank, and could be used for homework, revision, cover work or as part of a scheme of work. I like the fact that there is a range of questions to suit a range of abilities, and each section includes an experiment sheet which serves as good practice for the exam. It could also provide a good quick point of reference for staff to check they have covered all of the specification as it is very detailed.
It is detailed and has a good range of question styles. I especially like the experiment time pages at the end of each section, these could be used in a variety of ways but I think they would make an excellent revision pack for using in revision sessions.
I also like that it includes the mathematical skills required for the course such as the magnification calculations.
I also like that this would be a very quick resource to use, it would not require any adaptation to use in most lessons which is a huge advantage for teachers short of time!
I think the resource closely matches the specification, it is very detailed and covers all of the requirements for a range of abilities.

Caters for all abilities and would be a quick resource in terms of adapting for different classes. The core practical activities are an excellent idea. A perfect resource for building up a bank of potential questions. A fab resource overall.
