What do teachers say about this resource? (6591)

I think this resource is fantastic. A very helpful resource, which makes understanding the novel much easier for both teachers and students. It helps teaching a potentially difficult topic with focusing on the important aspects.

M Missenhardt, Teacher and Peer Reviewer

I thought that the resource was a comprehensive and authoritative study guide to one of the most important German literary works of the last 20 years. It provides students with the chance to study the holistic picture, as well as the text itself, by looking in depth at themes raised. The educational value of the resource is vast.

N Jeffery, German Teacher and Peer Reviewer

A real win! Well organised resource. Students found it easy to access yet it still challenged them. It supported my lesson planning nicely. It has helped pupils’ confidence seeing a professional looking resource. The detail and level is appropriate.

A Brown, MFL Subject Leader and Customer

Good vocab lists in German which gives students keywords but also makes them do some work by working out the meanings (...) I think that this resource would be extremely helpful for a teacher, especially as it includes the solutions to the questions. A teacher would also be able to pick and choose certain parts and use this resource when planning their scheme of work on Der Vorleser.

S Davidson, German Teacher and Peer Reviewer

Written by experienced teacher who knows the resource well. I particularly liked the fact that it could be used with Y12 or 13 for AS or A2, which made it excellent value for money. Really useful resource to get to grips with plot. The resource eases into the work by through researching the author and background to the novel, and introducing essential vocabulary.

J Tipton, Teacher and Peer Reviewer

This is a very good resource that will improve students’ grasp of the high level vocabulary needed and help them with a close reading of the text.

L Mangles, Teacher and Peer Reviewer
