What do teachers say about this resource? (6603)
I think it shows real variety. No two resources are the same meaning a range of different activities for students to learn from. This could be quite a dull topic but these activities would certainly enhance and help reinforce the learning undertaken by students... The summary table at start is a particularly clear and easy way to see what resources are needed for each resource and how long they are likely to last... Activities are linked clearly to the section of the spec they will go with and also state which part of the spec need to be taught before the activity could be used.
The resource covers a broad range of topics within the Resource Management topic and is well supported by a brief overview of the activities and the learning objectives they will meet. Two great examples to illustrate are the scrap book activity and the Gapminder activity. The scrap book activity encourages pupils to demonstrate their creativity whilst the checklist provided keeps students on task. The Gapminder activity brilliantly ticks off the use of ICT at GCSE and uses a visual way to represent and interpret geographical data.

A well planned resource in which the author has clearly spent a lot of time and effort on. Activities such as design a website, be the comic book writer and be the teacher are destined to be outstanding lessons. The resource fits well with the new 2016 GCSE curriculum. What is most impressive is the fact that the official Pearson/Edexcel textbook and resources are yet to be published!
This is a really fantastic way to get students discussing what they already know and then taking it further. There are lots of opportunities to use a range of both soft skills and Geographical skills.
This is a good resource, with many activities which should engage students with the subject material. It covers some of the key ideas from the Edexcel Spec A, especially the overview section... I liked the range of activities, all of which aim to engage students in their learning... This is good skills builder resource, especially the graph and map activities. The skills are well integrated into the topic and key ideas, which is how the new GCSE specifications have been designed.
