This is a resource that every teacher should use! It fits exceptionally well the requirements and demands set out within the National Curriculum and it sets clear expectations to lead students into a smooth transition into GCSE.
It is a wonderful resource! I particularly like all the pages of exercises for each grammatical point that give pupils lots of language to build up and practise the grammar. I often have to make these sheets myself, to summarise all that we have learnt, whereas here it is done for me. The layout is quite clear and easy for pupils to follow. It has given me a few ideas!
I liked that the vocab was given at the start of the activity. I also like the short translation activities which prepare students for this new skill at GCSE. I really believe that it is important that students do grammar in the lower school and so having a resource which enables teachers to ensure that the essentials are covered with minimal preparation is very useful. The fact that the grammatical points are explained is also good for students who miss lessons so that they can catch up easily.
It helps students cover every grammatical point in increasing difficulty and makes students focus on attention to detail and sentence building. Very comprehensive. It is also in line with the new GCSE and presents a well balanced range of translation activities and sentence formation tasks.
Accessible and appropriate to lead KS3 to a more ‘in-depth’ position of grammatical knowledge.
It is indeed a complete material dealing with the 20 most common grammar topics for KS3. The explanations are not too long (this is really a good point to engage students in the language, so there is a higher chance of students following on to Spanish GCSE and A Levels), there are lots of activities straight after the explanation... I think it is very precise and meets all the requirements for Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9.
