Excellent lesson plans, easy to follow, very useful. The content of the course is covered in depth. All of the criteria is covered in this pack.
Really informative. I liked the level of detail that was covered within the topics... The information was clear and well laid out. I think it matches the specification very closely and gives plenty of information about each topic that needs to be covered. Anyone could use this resource with confidence.
Overall, I thought this was a really well planned and structured resource. It covered all of the learning aims in equal consideration and would provide a lot of support and structure for learners in this unit.... I particularly liked the section on the nutritional requirements of individuals where the nutritional values tables have been sourced and carefully structured for the learners. Would you purchase this resource? Definitely. This would be a really useful resource that would not need any amending and could be used as it is for class or independent study.
What do teachers say about this resource? (5391)
Very thorough and comprehensive and gives detailed information for both the student and teacher. Gives more detail and examples than the current textbook that we use within school for this unit... Really like the fact that exemplar answers have been given at the back of the work. This is really reassuring and helpful as a teacher, as sometimes the wording of someone else’s question can make you question your answers.
I felt the resource was an excellent introductory point to a lesson. The authors clear learning aims provides a structure to the lesson and help when developing schemes of work. I particularly liked the extensive tasks which gave clarity to what was covered during the lesson and to enhance learning by stretching more able students. Excellent resource, highly recommend.
The resource is very well-written... each lesson is very clearly linked to the relevant area of the scheme of work. There are clear objectives, and I really like the layout of the lesson plans for any teacher to be able to follow clearly and be confident they are covering what they need to deliver for Unit 2... offers real life case studies and shows how these link to the objectives of the topic being looked at in the lesson.
A good mix of activities that can be differentiated well. I particularly like the information sheets, I can use them in my own lessons, to support my understanding to then teach.
What do teachers say about this resource? (5416)
Extremely good content – lots of topics and important issues covered. It is very thorough, touching on a number of interesting concepts and issues.
This seems to be an extremely useful resource. There is a great deal of information to aid the teaching of this unit and ideas to help with the delivery. The lesson plans and ideas to support the BTEC assignments are very good. It covers all of the required key terms and vocabulary and therefore provides a checklist of topics to be included within the unit. The examples given provide a stimulus for discussion and reduce the need for the teacher to have to create their own. A good clear resource which has enhanced my understanding of this unit. -
I really like the amount of case studies included, as these can be particularly difficult to find. I also like the selection of questions and extension activities for each lesson. It matches and interprets the specification really well.
I liked it. A good basis for starting to plan my own version of the SOW. It covered the specification thoroughly and in a logical order. There was opportunity for personal in-depth learning for the students.

The educational value is excellent, as it provides realistic situations where discriminatory practices can occur... it is a great starting point for class discussions.
What do teachers say about this resource? (5495)
I liked the simple and clear format. It is logically executed and easy to follow. Lesson plans are clear and uncomplicated with a student resource sheet provided for each lesson to back up the content. I particularly liked the logical progression and approach to tackling the specification and the relevant case studies suitable for each topic area. These are often very difficult to find/create. I also like the information on the legislation which is also difficult to find at the right level of detail for level 2 students. I found the inclusion of answers very useful. The resource closely follows the specification and covers all areas in a suitable level of depth. This is a difficult area to approach and it is well tackled.
The resource very thoroughly covers the pass criteria for the unit and would provide a really good foundation of learning for students to meet the criteria successfully. There are some really well written and useful case studies and the sections on the Equality Act 2010 and Human Rights Act are really helpful in providing the students with the most relevant sections of the legislation. It very thoroughly covers all of the pass criteria. In particular, it summarises key learning points that students need to be able to retain and paraphrase in their own writing.
What do teachers say about this resource? (5358)
There are some really good aspects to this resource. It gives a lot of additional information... The text books that are available do not give a lot of information, so these are helpful. The activities are useful as a starting point to get lessons planned.
This forms a good basis for the course as it covers all of the Unit content... The facts are well laid out and illustrated and questions at the end of each section would be useful. Exam style questions are also very helpful.

Very good resource with lots of good teaching ideas, with group work, individual and hand on ideas.
