Overall I have a favourable impression of this resource. I was encouraged to review it because it offers a range of teaching and learning exercises... for me this is what a resource should seek to do. Course material is covered but in this engaged way, rather than a brief summary of existing textbooks. I liked the active nature of the resource. I also welcomed the fact that the author had made some detailed teacher notes. These offered a helpful indication of how some of the exercises might be used, but were not prescriptive. Written by a thoughtful and creative teacher.

A good resource for starters and plenaries and I would also use some of these activities for homework. I liked the fact that each activity made the student think... for example activity seven provided words to complete the diagram, but the students had to think how the words could be used appropriately and some of the words could be used more that once. I like the fact that each activity was mapped across to specific learning outcomes... [it] provides a coherent and flowing approach. It enhances the students' research skills and thinking skills [and] different activities appeal to different learning styles. I certainly would purchase this resource.

A good resource for what can be a challenging unit. A good range of activities that will work well with mixed ability groups. Presentation and layout is good. Matches specification very well... Goes through all areas listed and needed by student. Overall this is a much needed resource for this challenging unit. It is a unit students enjoy so is popular but has little support material out there.

Good for lesson observations and Ofsted! If you have non-specialist staff teaching this unit it will be a fantastic resource for them to use. You could go though it using every activity or pick and mix. It would be a great addition to resources already used

I really like the variety of activities which get the learners to think. My current students have loved the 'fill in missing words' and quiz activities so I can see these working well.
